These portable foam antennas have a large capture area. They are excellent for receiving weak signals. The antennas are bi-directional so you can rotate them for best reception. They can collapse down for travel if needed. MADE IN USA.
The antennas are supplied with 2 feet of cable with an 1/8 inch plug on the end. Antennas are 2 feet wide, but can collapse down to 4 inches for storage or travel.
The Model FT-VLF-1. This Very Low Frequency Portable Antenna is great for 1 KHz to 20 KHz listening. It is soft and collapses for travel. Soft foam no sharp edges. It features bi-directional pickup so you can hear the sounds and signals you want and reject the others. Broadband, no tuning required. Features a standard 1/8th inch mic plug for use with portable audio recorders and audio equipment. Turns your tape recoreder into an instant VLF receiver when the antenna is plugged into the microphone jack. You can hear lightning static 1000's of miles away easily and you can hear the beautiful sounding TWEEKS that happen every night. Use the antenna to listen for the more rare WHISTLERS (caused by lightning flash static) that has escaped the Earth's atmosphere and are reflected back down the Earth's magnetic field lines, producing strange whistling sounds.
The Model FT-LF-1. This Low Frequency Portable Antenna is great for listening to 10 KHz through 100 KHz. Can be tuned using your own external capacitor, or just plug it directly into the radio's antenna jack.
The Model FT-LF-2. This Low Frequency Portable Antenna is great for listening to 100 KHz through 530 KHz. Can be tuned using your own external capacitor, or just plug it directly into the radio's antenna jack.
The models FT-LW-1-TEC and FT-AM-1-TEC and FT-AM-2-TEC are designed to be compatible with the TECSUN PL-368 POCKET SHORTWAVE RADIO to replace the tiny 2 inch external rod ferrite antenna. Just plug directly into the antenna jack for a powerful greater than 25dB boost in signal above the radio's external bar loop. The FT-AM-2 is designed specifically for performance at the top portion of the AM broadcast band 1400 - 1710 KHz.
