Does your antique Ray Jeff Ray Jefferson 640 Radio Direction Finder need a new antenna? Missing the original antenna? Just want super long range reception?
This new antenna will "bring your old unit back to life". You will be able to receive the AM and BECN beacon bands like never before!
If you go to sea and are using a Ray Jeff 640 Radio to listen to AM broadcasts or Longwave broadcasts, but you get poor reception due to extreme distance from shore, these antennas will -greatly- peak up your reception!
If you use a Ray Jeff 640, then you know first-hand the super-excellent quality of Ray Jeff radios, and now you can squeeze super distant reception out if it with these new antennas!
The antennas are longer and thicker (1 inch diameter) than the original 7-inch antenna unit so you can expect greatly improved reception over the original antenna when you are far out at sea. See photo of antenna mounted on unit. It just plugs into the antenna jack on the top of the radio.
Mounted in a hard PVC plastic case to prevent damage.
SALES TO USA ONLY! NO FOREIGN ORDERS.
Part # "RJ640DF10125Antenna" $ 69.95 + $ 15.00 s/h.
NOTE:! The antennas have -not- been designed for direction-finding, but instread are designed for long range reception. You will be able to receive and null out stations similar to the way the original antenna on these units works, however, but we don't claim any recommendations for using the new antenna for actual direction finding purposes.
U.S.A. only. No Foreign Orders.
These antenna components exibit a bi-directional reception pattern as shown above.
Looking down from above with the ends of the antenna pointing North and South, just like a compass would, the directions of best reception are EAST and WEST as shown by the circles in the chart above. There is no signal pickup from the North or South. This is the null pattern. It is much sharper, about 5 degrees wide, not shown in this diagram.
